Wood Stabalizers

A big issue Woodworkers have is wrestling with woods’ natural characteristic of being Hygroscopic: it attracts moisture from its surrounding atmosphere. When humidity increases, the wood absorbs moisture from the air causing the wood to expand. When the humidity decreases, the wood releases water into the air and the wood shrinks.
.
These C-Channels we install in our long slabs act as stabilizers, preventing the table from becoming warped, twisted, cupped or, bowed when coming from the atmosphere in the workshop and going to a new atmosphere in the customers home. .
