The vision: To preserve the beautiful reddish cambium layer in the bark while crafting a functional bath side table.

The problem: The big split needed to be stabilized and bridged in some fashion to utilize the full surface area as it was a small cookie to begin with.

The solution: Resin wasn't going to fly here. Stitching and patch work it is! but!.. It needed some flavor, some jazz and movement..After the top was complete, the base had only one requirement: a shelf. So, following suit of the top - the base was crafted.
